SET UP & TEAR DOWN:
Set up is on Friday Sept. 18th. Roger & I will arrive at 12:00 to begin set up. The Big Maroon Tent takes a min. of 5 people to set it up. So those volunteers will need to be at Lake Casitas by 1:00. It is the first tent we have to set up before any of the other tents can go up. Also, if you have anything you can bring to hep decorate the inside of the big tent, or outside of the big tent, please bring it, it will add to the atmosphere and to your comfort if you plan on sleeping in that tent at night. I have rugs to put out front of the tents to dance on & rugs for my tent, I have a few extra for the big tent, so if you have something to lend, please bring it. Tear down will be the following seekend on Sunday, the 27th.

You are welcome to bring a chair for outside to sit on. If you do, you have to bring enough of some type of appropriate fabric to cover it completely, front, sides & back. No modern day items are allowed, it spoils the atmosphere we are trying to create and the officials will ask us to remove it if they see it.

Also bring something to drink from that would be ren faire appropriate,

If you cannot help set up, we encourage you to help tear town on Sunday, the 27th. If you really can't help with either of those, there is the kitchen duty. We cook breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and we cook dinner on Friday & Saturday night. Or there is clean up of the rugs at my house the week following the 27th. This is our home away from home for the 2 weekends.

MEALS: ----- For MEAL Details go HERE
<-------------- NEW
Like SLO, Roger & I will be bringing the big camp stove to cook breakfast & dinner ..... If someone would like to take charge of the kitchen, let me know. For breakfast we usually cook something we can stuff into a tortilla so we will need people to bring eggs, meat, cheese, etc. Check out this menu and Just let me know what you'd like to contribute EMAIL me here. We were thinking for Saturday morning of doing chorizo, egg, potato & cheese burritos. Roger generally cooks in the morinng. For those of you that are not trying to get ready to dance, if you could give him a hand with preparing breakfast - that would be fabulous.

COSTUMING: ------- (click here for more costume details) ---------
Ladies we are going bare middled! I And you must wear a choli or short shirt under you coin bra. No bare skin under the bra. If bare skin under the bra is seen, you will be asked to change. See the guide lines for colors, fabric, etc. Basically, dress tribal to the max! For those ladies that dance other than tribal, see the guidelines for fabric, etc. We do want you to keep your individuality within the time period we are portraying. even though this is Pirate faire - NO PIRATE WEAR. We want to keep our recognition of our group by our costuming.

Our performances will be at our encampment, no stage shows for this event. once we learn what the stage show times for other entertainers are, we will post our own scheduled performances in front of our encampment for the public.
